Terms & Conditions

1. The agreement

"We", "us" and "Soph" mean We Are Happy Dogs, a sole-trader business operating from Silver Close, Minety, SN16 9QT, holder of Wiltshire Council animal boarding licence LN/000021710.

2. Bookings

A booking is confirmed when Soph replies in writing (text, email, WhatsApp) with availability and a price. Until then, dates are not held.

3. Payment

Invoiced by email, payable by bank transfer within 7 days. Regular clients can switch to standing order. No card surcharges.

4. Cancellation

• More than 48 hours before: full refund.
• Within 48 hours: 50% refund.
• Same-day: no refund (we usually reschedule instead).
• Boarding stays over 3 nights: 25% deposit, refundable up to 14 days before.

5. Your responsibilities

You'll provide accurate information about your dog — temperament, medication, fears, foods to avoid, vet details and emergency contact. Soph relies on this to keep your dog safe.

6. Vaccinations & health

All dogs in our care must be fully vaccinated (including kennel cough where appropriate), regularly wormed and flea-treated. Boarding requires sight of an in-date vaccination card at the meet-and-greet.

7. Veterinary care

If your dog needs urgent vet care, Soph will take them to your registered vet where possible, otherwise to the nearest open practice. You authorise treatment up to £500 without prior consent — Soph will reach you for anything beyond that. Costs are passed on at cost.

8. Liability

Soph is fully insured (public liability, care-custody-control). Liability is limited to the cover provided by that policy. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, illness contracted from contact with other dogs in public places, or damage caused by your dog to your own property while in our care at your home.

9. Photographs

We may take photos during walks and stays. Photos shared publicly (Instagram, this website) are only ever with your permission, given once at the meet-and-greet. You can withdraw permission any time.

10. Termination

Either side can end the arrangement at any time. Soph will refund any unused pre-paid bookings.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales.
